Maynard Lutzow

Maynard Lutzow, 75, of Belvidere, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012. Born March 12, 1936 in Rockford; son of Pearl Herbig and Clarence Lutzow. Married Barbara Flood on May 7, 1955. He was a graduate from West High, Class of 1954, and played for the basketball team. Worked for Ingersoll Milling as an electrical supervisor/engineer for 41 1/2 years, retiring in 1996. Maynard was a member of the Belvidere Moose Club and the Ingersoll Retirees Association. He loved to travel up north for family fishing trips where he enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. He also spent several years wintering in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Maynard loved spending time with his family and was especially proud of his 4 grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; son, Michael (IlanaBeth) Lutzow; daughters, Debbie (Dean) Reid and Pam (Dana Strate) Lutzow; grandchildren, Justin and Shaun Reid, Trevor Lutzow and Jarrett Lutzow; brother, Darold Lutzow; motherinlaw, Evelyn Flood, brotherinlaw, Dennis Johnson; sistersinlaw, Judy Chatfield and Joanne Lutzow; numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents; sister, Betty Lunde; brothers, Everett, Glen and Richard Lutzow.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the funeral home with visitation at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
