Michael T. Earp

Michael Timothy Earp went on to join his daughter, Rebecca Luebke, and parents, Dean and Elizabeth, this day, May 16th, 2022, at 59 years of age. An Independent Associate with LegalShield for 16 years and retired from Cintas after 40 years of service, he was the epitome of a family man. This was his greatest passion. He took immense pleasure in planning the next memory for us, taking us places we had never been, and making sure we always felt loved, secure, and protected. All the while, he constantly entertained us with his sharp wit and funny “Dad” jokes.

A man with courage of conviction, he was always fighting to right wrongs and lifting others up, giving them strength and empowering them to become better, so they could stand on their own. He wanted to save the world.

I am sure this very moment you will find him at a baseball game, a musical concert, or on a beach in the Caribbean … but no matter where it is, I am most certain that he is still loving and protecting us.

His mother said she named him after the Archangel Saint Michael. He was a warrior, the protector of good, champion of justice, and healer of the sick. She could not have been more accurate.

He leaves behind his wife of forty wonderful years, Julie; his daughters Emily Pariseau and Stephanie (Nathan Jones) Earp; grandchildren Jake and Luc Pariseau; siblings Kathleen (Dale) Burk Royer, Ralph (Suzanne) Earp, Betsy (Tom) Rogusta, Dean (Ann) Earp, Brian (Jo Catherine) Earp, Joseph Earp, and Bridget (Tim) Riegsecker; so many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

A time to gather and celebrate Michael’s life will take place on his birthday, June 18, 2022, from 1:00 until 5:00, at Severson Dells Nature Center, 8786 Montague Road, Rockford, IL 61102, in the Prairie Hill Shelter. In lieu of flowers, the family is receiving memorials to donate to organizations that Michael was enthusiastic about.

Rest easy now, Michael. We love you and know that we will miss you.
