Michael W. Mcfadden

Michael Wayne McFadden, Jr., 56, lifelong resident of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday April 30 with his family by his side. Heaven rejoiced as it welcomed Mike to his eternal home. Michael was born on April 10, 1956 in Rockford, IL, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael McFadden, Sr. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School class of 1974. Mike touched the lives of all who knew him through his kind and gentle spirit and was always there to lend a helping hand where needed. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Julie; parents, Michael Sr. and Rachel McFadden; sister, Georgia (Keith) Govier, of Prairie Du Chien, WI; brothers, Tom (Cindy) McFadden, of Black Lick, OH; John (Carol) McFadden,of Loves Park and Walter (Lori) McFadden, of Minneapolis, MN; children, Dan (Louise) Bahr, of West Allis, WI, Kevin (Karen) Bahr, Morton, IL, Chris (Teresa) Bahr, Winnebago, IL, Laura Hollaway, of Rockford and Don (Stephanie) Hollaway, Appleton, WI; 12 grandchildren; 4 greatgrandchildren and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving puppy, Peanut. Michael worked at WalMart in Rockford and also at Emery Air, last working on March 30, 2012.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 4 th at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton, Rockford, IL 61103 and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday May 5 th with the Rev. Scott Neese officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
