Mildred M. Burton

Mildred M. Burton, 97, Rockford, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Provena Cor Mariae.nbsp; She was born February 11, 1913, in Savanna, the daughter of Benjamin and Grace (Beckner) Reibel.nbsp; Mildred was a graduate of Savanna High School.nbsp; She married Doug Fitzpatrick in Savanna in the early 1930s.nbsp; After he died tragically in a railroad accident, she met and married Paul Burton in Clinton, Iowa, in 1939.nbsp; Mildred owned and operated a beauty salon in Rockford for many years.nbsp; She enjoyed sewing and cooking and loved doing jigsaw puzzles.

Survived by her son and his wife, Larry and Karen Burton of Rockford; her grandson, James (Michelle) Burton, granddaughter, Brenda Burton, andnbsp; her great-granddaughter, Sadie.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents, her husbands, Doug Fitzpatrick and Paul Burton, a brother and two sisters.
