Nicholas F. Minardi

Nicholas F. Minardi, 77, of Loves Park, IL passed away at home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

Nicholas was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 5, 1944, son of Anthony and Lillian (Marchese) Minardi. He graduated from West High School in Rockford. Nicholas proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Carol J. Prentice on September 27, 1969. Nicholas was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He worked as vice president for Cardinal Glass Company for over 40 years. Nicholas enjoyed playing golf and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Carol Minardi; children, Tracee (Joseph) Anderson and Tony (Missy) Minardi; grandchildren, Anthony, Marisa and Morgan Anderson, Nicholas and Emily Minardi; sisters, Francine (John) Henard and Maria (Pete) Paris. Nicholas is predeceased by his parents.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Rockford, IL 61102 with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service. Final resting place will conclude in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.
