Norma M. Hale

Norma M. Hale, 88, passed away in her home surrounded with the love of family on October 21, 2021. Born in Moody, Missouri on October 7, 1933 daughter to Owen “Doc” Phillip and Nellie (Burgess) Heinrich. Norma attended Bakersfield High School and in 1954 married the love of her life, Donald Hale, on April 25, 1954 in West Plains, Missouri. She worked at the International Shoe Company from 1955 until 1967 and used her passion for being a seamstress she learned in her youth. She was honored to create uniforms for the West Plains High School “Zizzer” band, Mrs. Daly's marching Baton group as well as weddings and special request in the community. In 1967, Norma and Donald moved their family to Rockford, Illinois where they both completed their employee years at Chrysler in Belvedere. Norma continued her seamstress skills in Rockford including groups for singing competitions. Her favorite hobbies included Bingo and working with 4-H groups entering competitions for ceramics, sewing, and cooking. Her skills and talent brought laughter and joy for those who came in contact with her experiencing an open heart and willingness to listen.

Norma will be survived by those who loved her most, her husband of 67 years, Donald; her children Charlotte Hale “Sherry” Hensel, Tambula “Tammy” Hale, her grandchildren, Shawndee Hensel Anderson (great-grandson Joel) Kaeleb Hensel, Andrea Paschal Malone (Cory, and great granddaughter Charlie Robin) , Katrina Paschal Grzegorski.(Ed) and Brittney Paschal Hawthorn ( Jeremy and great grandsons, Carter and Cobe) siblings Owen (Lillian) Heinrich, Opal Marie Heinrich Alsup (Noah), Phillip Ray (Sharon) Heinrich, Helen Belts. Norma's in-laws she loved equally as sisters and brother, Mary Lou Hale Ryan, Linda Hale Riley (Tommy), Nancy Hale Good (John) Ronald D Hale, Jeannie Hale Theurer (Pat) and so many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her children, twin sons, Michael Dale and Lindle Gale Hall, Dr. Robin D. Hale Paschal (Maurice) and Denis D. Hale; her parents Doc and Nellie Heinrich, sisters Gladys Heinrich Lunn, Thelma Heinrich Rhine, Carmel Thomas, and Juanita V. Ball Lockard.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 with Chaplain Joe Militello officiating at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. Her pallbearers will include Kaeleb Hensel, Brent Armstrong, Tim Poshka, Joe MacMurchy, John Barnhart, Mike Howard. Memorial Service in West Plains, Missouri to be announced. Burial to immediately follow at New Milford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
