Norman Michael Fruhauf, 61, of Cherry Valley passed away on July 11, 2009. Born February 11, 1948 in Chicago, IL, the son of Anthony and Lillian (Lang) Fruhauf. Norman served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam with the Military Police. Most of all, Norman loved his family. He was very proud of his grandchildren and was always there to lend a helping hand. He was past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council No.14373. Last year, he was one of several people to win the Rising Star Award from the Illinois State Knights of Columbus. He was a Forth Degree member of Bishop Muldoon Assembly No.190. He is survived by his wife Linda, mother Lillian Fruhauf, children Brenda (Christopher) Marshall and Stephen (Gina) Miller. Grandchildren Nicholas, Taylor, Benjamin, Ignatius and Sara. Brother Dennis Fruhauf, niece Denise and nephew David. He was predeceased by his father. Funeral Mass will be Friday, July 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 535 Caswell St., Belvidere, IL with the Rev. Brian Geary officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Entombment will be at All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum in Des Plaines, IL.
