Norville D. Williams

August 12, 1936 — March 18, 2012

Norville Duane Williams, 75, of Rockton, was taken into Jesus loving arms on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at SwedishAmerican Hospital. He was born August 12, 1936, in Garrett, IL, the son of Robert and Elva (Barcus) Williams. Norville married the love of his life,Patricia Pat nbsp;Rozene in Sullivan on October 18, 1957. Norville was an Army veteran. He worked for A.E.Staley Manufacturing in Decatur for over 37 years in various capacities, retiring in 1993, as the Supervisor of Transportation. He then worked parttime for the USDA for 18 years. He was a member of North Park Church of Christ serving as an Elder. He was a member of Staleys Mens Club, an Elder and founding member of Morningside Church of Christ in Decatur, and a past Cub Master. nbsp;He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and traveling, but most of all loved to spend time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; sons, Robert (Lisa) Williams and their children, Taylor and Paige of Roscoe; nbsp;Greg (Susan) Williams and their children, Katie and Henry of Olympia, WA; brother, Melvin (Lydia) Williams; sister, Brenda (Terry) Standerfer; sisterinlaw and brotherinlaw, Kay (Jerry) Ward; nephew, Terry (Chris) Ward; niece, Sheri Randall; stepnephew, Marcus Standerfer and stepniece, Jill Jonas.

Predeceased by his parents and infant sister, Janet Williams.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Tim Firm officiating.nbsp; Burial in Willowbrook Cemetery in Roscoe. Visitation from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the funeral home and from 10:00 am until time of service on Thursday.nbsp; Memorials may be made in Norvilles name to North Park Church of Christ.
