Oscar W. Olson

Oscar William Olson,70,Rockford, passed away July 10, 2011, in his home. He was born in Chicago, the son of Oscar and Mable Olson. Oscar lived in Rockford for 12 years, coming from Chicago. He was a cabinet maker for many years. Oscar worked at Illinois Growth Enterprises for the last 10 years. He attended St. Rita Catholic Church.
Survived by his son, Jim (Kim) Olson of Lombard, his daughter, Sue (Harlan) Knuth of Rockford; his grandchildren, Cassidy, Dayton, Sierra and Riley Olson, Brian, Emily, and Janey Knuth; brothers, William (Verda) Olson of Seattle, WA and Bob (Sandy) Olson of Midlothian, brother-in-law Nick Karas, sister-in-law Janet Olson; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; sister, Marge Karas; brother, Richard Olson.
Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 p.m., Thursday July 14, 2011, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Dr. Visitation from 10:30 a.m. until time of prayers at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded after Mass. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
