Pablo R. Ruiz

Pablo R. Ruiz, 81, of Rockford, IL passed away Monday, October 1, 2018.

Pablo was born in Colon Matanzas, Cuba on July 9, 1937, son of Pablo Ruiz Ojitos and Josefa Nunez. He came to the United States on April 17, 1962. Later in life in 1993, Pablo moved to Rockford, IL where he would reside for the remainder of his life. Throughout life, he especially enjoyed reading and cooking, as well as buying lottery tickets. Pablo was a gentleman who had a love for all people. He fought cancer twice and after the third time, he was ready to join his beloved wife and youngest daughter in heaven. He lived his life the way he wanted to.

Surviving relatives include his children, Randy Ruiz, Rene Ruiz, Alexis Ruiz, Roxanna Ruiz and Shanta (Ruiz) Houston; 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Elianna Houston.

According to Pablo’s wishes, no public services will be held. Cremation rites will be accorded.
