Patricia A. Stahl

Patricia A. Stahl, 83, of Rockford, passed away September 19, 2018 at Presence Cor Mariae Center. Born November 19. 1934 in Ft. Sheridan, IL, the daughter of Michael J. & Agnes (Schmidt) Girard. Graduated from Muldoon High School, Class of 1953. She worked for Illinois Bell Co. as a Telecommunications operator. Married Ronald Stahl on Jan 28, 1956. She was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she taught religious education and helped volunteer for other church events. She received Woman of the Year in2012. Patricia served as President and Secretary for the Park-er-Woods Association and was active for many years. In addition she helped cofound the “We Care” project in Rockford.
Survivors include husband Ronald; son, David (Paula) Stahl; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters Anne (Richard) Murphy and Michaeline (John) Straetz; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; daughter Susan; son Michael; sister Betty Vance and brother James Girard.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2505 School St., Rockford, IL 61101. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103. Burial will conclude in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church in her name.
