Patricia Ann Ferris

Patricia Ann Ferris, 68, of Rockford died Sunday, October 4, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 24, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Anna Whalen. She later moved to McHenry, IL where she met the love of her life, Phillip P. Ferris Sr. They married in 1967, and relocated to Rockford the following year. She was a faithful member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Rockford. Patricia was involved with Pack 429 Cub Scouts of America for many years.
Survived by her loving husband, Phillip P. Ferris Sr.; her children Phillip Ferris Jr., Joanne (Bruce) Falke, and Jeffrey (Inean) Ferris; her grandchildren Elyn-Ashli, Joshua, Ryley, Brianna, and Faith; her great grandchild Kalob; dear friends Pam and Helen. Predeceased by her parents, and close friend, Jean.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford. Visitation will be held at 9:30 am until time of service at the church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Rockford Rescue Mission or Carpenters Place appreciated.
