Patricia Ann Malachowski

Patricia Ann Pat Malachowski, 66, Rockford, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 9, 2011, in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born October 14, 1944, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Robert and Florence (Pruchnowski) Malachowski.
Pat was a legal secretary for attorney Chuck Thomas for 42 years including when Chuck joined the law firm of Hinshaw and Culbertson.
She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and was active with the Literacy Council of Rockford. A special thank you all the wonderful people at OSF Hospice, especially nurses Annette and Susan, for their loving care and support.

Survived by her son, David (Maria) Malachowski of Carol Stream; grandchildren, Alex and Isabella Malachowski; sisterinlaw, Margaret Malachowski of Machesney Park; nephews, Chris (Tammy), Miles (Wendy), Jose (Renee) and nbsp;niece, Alexis Malachowski; many great nephews and a niece.
Predeceased by her parents and brother, Robert Malachowski. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Saturday, October 15, 2011, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Dr. with Fr. David Peck and Fr. David Beauvais concelebrating.
Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation from 4:00pm until 8:00 pm Friday, October 14, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd with a Wake Service at 7:45pm and from 9:00am until family prayers at 9:45am Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Rita Catholic Church, The Literacy Council, 982 N.
