Patricia Fisher

Patricia Irene Fisher, also known as Pat or Trish, age 98, of Rockford, passed away on July 29, 2023. 

She was born on July 7, 1925, in Seward, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Irene (Elliott) Murphy. She graduated from Leaf River High School, class of 1943. She married David Fisher on December 15, 1945 in Petersburg, Virginia. She worked in the cafeteria at Wilson Middle School. Pat was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in her free time.

Surviving relatives include her children, Joanne (Bill) Ingles, Phyllis (Terry) Hall, and Mickey (Gary) Jurceka; daughter-in-law, Linda Fisher; grandchildren, Mark (Nonie), Joe, Billy (Taylor), Dan (Kenna), Laura (Jeff), Susan (Bryan), TJ, Amanda (Tom), Kelsie (Ken), and Emylee (Steven); great-grandchildren, Alex (Makenna), Zachary, Malinda, Maddie, Taylor, Kyle, Thomas, Wyatt, Charlotte, Daniel and Josiah; and sister, Mary Ellen Heater. She is predeceased by her parents; husband, David; son, Tommy; daughter, Patti (Barry) Rutherford; sisters, Colleen Woods, Kathy (John) Jilek, Ann Murphy and a brother, James (Colleen) Murphy.

The family would like to give a special thank you to St. Anne’s Place for the wonderful care and compassion given to Pat over the years. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103. Burial will follow in Saint Thomas Catholic Cemetery, near Seward, Illinois. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anne Place, 4405 Highcrest Avenue, Rockford 61107.
