Patrick Fowler, 64 Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, stepfather and stepgrandfather Patrick Fowler, 64, Merrimac, WI, died Monday, November 28, 2011 in the comfort of his own home. Born June 2, 1947 in Rockford, son of Kenneth C. and Marion A. Haley Fowler. Graduated from Boylan High School in 1965 and Austin Peay University in Clarksville, TN in 1972. Married Linda Gorham in Rockford at high noon on September 29, 2001. Served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 19651970. Sgt. E5 Fowler served in Vietnam in 196667with the 3 rd Batttallion, 3 rd Marine Regiment, Lima Company. He was a certified public accountant and the owner of Patrick Fowler & Associates, CPA's in Belvidere for 32 years, retiring in 2010. He cared about and respected his many clients who often became his friends. Member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Rockford and St. Mary Health of the Sick Parish in Merrimac, WI. Pat was a very hard worker,loved to fish and was an avid Yankees and Washington Red Skins fan. He had a great appreciation for nature and was a man whose faith always came first. Survivors include his wife, Linda; children, Christine FowlerGriffis, Tim (Lori) Fowler, Julie (Morgan) Hatch, Paul (Laura) Fowler, and Amy (Brad) Marshall; grandchildren, Trevor and Luke Griffis, Abby, Josh, Thomas and Olivia Fowler, Alex, Jackson and Claire Hatch, Jacob Fowler and Nathan Marshall; stepchildren, Cheri (Randy) Wellman, Cyndi (Jose) Tejeda and Julie (Alan) McLain; stepgrandchildren Megan and Scott Wellman, Alexis and Zachary Radford, Tony Tejeda, Bradley, Rebecca, David, Logan and Mikey McLain; brothers and sisters, Michael (Mary) Fowler, Kathryn (Tom) Tulley, Mary Fowler, Margaret (Steve) Carlson, Annie Mullins, John Fowler; numerous nieces and nephews; motherinlaw, June McLean; sistersinlaw, Cheryl (Paul;) Block , Carol Brothers and brotherinlaw, Ralph Gorham. Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Tim and Mark Fowler and stepgrandson, Travis Radford. Funeral Mass at high noon on Friday, December 2, 2011 in St. Rita Catholic Church with Rev. David A. Peck officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 58 p.m. on Thursday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Mass on Friday at St. Rita Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to Rockford Rescue Mission, 715 W. State, Rockford, IL 61102 or Poor Clares Corpus Christi Monastery, 2111 S. Main, Rockford, IL 61102.
