Pauline Medley

Pauline Medley, 84, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at home. She was born on December 19, 1931 in Marshall, MO, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Humphrey) Thurman. In 1947 she married the love of her life, Charles Medley. Pauline was a wonderful singer, particularly gospel music. She loved to entertain, read, watch old movies, antique, and swim. She was a proud member of Forest City Baptist. She led the church choir and children's choir, and facilitated bible clubs in her neighborhood. Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Charles; her children, Charles (Gayle) Medley, David (Linda) Medley, Stephen (Patricia) Medley, and Philip Medley, Christine (Les Gabriel) Feltman, Carolyn (Fred Schwartz) Medley, Karen (Mike) Milco, Dawn(Perry) Tuneberg, and Lou Ann (Erik) Oksnevad; her twin sister, Aleene Love; 28 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Private family burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rockford Rescue Mission appreciated.
