Pek Benink

Pek Benink, 79 of Rockford passed away Saturday morning, December 15, 2007 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL. Born October 3, 1928 in Bandung Java, Indonesia, she was married to Johannes Benink, Sr. in Bandung Java, Indonesia on August 16, 1948. Pek lived for her extended family, loving each and every one of them. She loved to cook and share her recipies with others, thaching them Oriental cuisine, as only she knows how.. She was the glue that kept the family together. Pek is survived by her husband, children John Benink, Jr., Gary (Pamela) Benink, Paula (Jerome) Kettner, MeiLie Benink, Johanna Benink and Eric (Suzette) Benink. Grandchildren Jeff, Jennifer, Eric Jon, Dawn, Amy, Tim, Shanna, Yan, Cain, Logan, Anaka, Ericson, 12 great- grandchildren and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Her parents, brothers and sisters predeceased her. Memorial Service will be in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of Service..
