Peter "Pete" Kruchten

Pete Kruchten, 58, of Rockford, passed away in his home on May 16, 2018. Born May 28, 1959 in Duluth, Minn, the son of Kenneth R. & Mary A. (Johnson) Kruchten. Graduated from Cathedral High School, in Saint Cloud, Minn, class of 1977. Later attended Saint Cloud State University. Lived most of his adult life in the Rockford area, coming from Saint Cloud, Minn. Pete was considered an entrepreneur owning and starting up numerous businesses.
He enjoyed golfing, skiing, fishing and hunting trips in Canada, playing racquet ball, entertaining, and socializing with family and friends. Avid Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Vikings Fan. Member of the Rotary Club, Stateline Angles and Downtown Rotary.
Those who knew Pete would say he was a selfless, fun loving guy who just needed everyone around him to have a good time.
Survivors include children, Callan (Matthew) Broos and Michael Alex Kruchten; siblings, K. Patrick (Marcy) Kruchten, Mary Margaret Kruchten, Anna (Gary) Houghtaling, Joseph (Vashti) Kruchten, Paul (Joyce) Kruchten and Lurana K. (Carrie Brown) Kruchten; His love of his life Sue Ady; sister in law, Rose Kruchten and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and brother Mike Kruchten.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Forest Hills Country Club, 5135 Forest Hills Rd, Rockford, IL 61114 from 2 – 3 pm, with a Celebration of his life starting at 3 pm.
