Phillip W. Morrow, 62, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born February 15, 1950 in Tulsa, OK; son of R. Wayne and Muriel (Carleson) Morrow. Married Anne Keegan in 1972. Received his BS from Southern Methodist University in 1972 and his MBA in 1973. Phillip was very inspirational and defied all odds in his fight against Multiple Sclerosis. He was employed by Taylor Freezer for 35 years where he held numerous executive positions in sales and finance. He was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears & Chicago Cubs and was an active member at Forest Hills Country Club. He was an avid golfer and even shot a holeinone. Phillip especially loved spending time with his family and grandkids. He never turned his back on anyone and touched many lives. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Anne; daughters, Katie (Skye) Biddle and Lindy (Kyle) Utley; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Lauren, Emma and Olivia; mother, Muriel Morrow; brother, Mark (Kathy) Morrow; sister, Marcia (Ron) McDaniel. Predeceased by his father, Wayne. The family would like to give a special thank you to all of his doctors and caregivers throughout the years for their exceptional care.Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
