Rachel  (Milanos) Carsley, 101 Rockford Rachel (Milanos) Carsley, 101 of Rockford, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Provena St. Anne Center. Born August  21, 1908 in Hinton, Il to William and Lucy (Anglin) Reichert. Married John Ciochetti in 1926, then married Angelos Milanos in September of 1934. He predeceased her in 1983. Married Clare Carsley in March 1986 and he predeceased her in 1988. Moved to Hillsboro, Il in 1934 where she and Angelos built and ran Milanos Cafa©. In 1944 they moved to Rockford to run the Greyhound Bus Depot until the end of WWII. Operated several restaurants and was a secretary at Amerock Corp and a Tupperware manager, earning the 1 st car in this area. Moved to AZ in 1964 where she ran a curio shop, cafa© and motel. She also worked as a secretary for the Pearce AZ school district. Moved back to Rockford in 1982. Member of The Rebecca Lodge for over 60 years.Rachel is survived by daughters; Betty Stone of Machesney Park, Pat Upshaw of Deming, NM., Mary Johnson of Wabasha MN.; son, William (Mary) Milanos of Rockford. 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, husbands, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, brother William Reichert and sister Mildred Ruder.Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m.  Saturday, November 21, 2009 at DiGiovannis Ristorante in Roscoe, IL. Special thanks to all of the nurses and staff at Provena  St. Anne Center for their loving care for the last 9 years.
