Ralph Resenbeck, 72 of Rockford, died on Monday, February 26, 2007 in his home. Born July 14, 1934, in Rockford the son of Ralph and Helen Resenbeck. Attended East High School.nbsp; Married Sara Vance on January 11, 1969. Employed at Testor Corp. for 49 years retiring in 1999. Member of Heartland Community Church and was an avid Bears fan. Ralph loved bass fishing at Balsam Lake in Wisconsin, gardening, photography, flying and old cars. Ralph was an all around handyman who could fix, rebuild or build anything you put in front of him. He received his pilots license in 1970 and rebuilt two airplanes and was a former member of the Lens amp; Shutter Club and Unique Street Rods. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Visiting Nurses Association nurses and hospice staff for their wonderful care and compassion. nbsp;Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sara; sons, Doug (Amy) Resenbeck, Dan (Linda) Resenbeck both of Rockford; daughters, Debbe (Cliff) Priewe of Lanark, Diane (Joe) Mantione of St. Augustine, Fl., Kristy Moye of Roscoe and Jessica Vance of Rockford; grandsons, Jason Schafer, Aaron (Crissy) Priewe, Josh Moye, Christian, Elliot, and Owen Resenbeck; granddaughters, Jennifer (Isaac) Cox, Amy Priewe; great granddaughters, Haley, Lexi and Jada; sister, Joyce Berger of Crestline, Ca.; sister-in-laws, Pat Hawley of Monroe Center, Jeanette (James) Hicks of Stillman Valley, Shirley (John) Johnson of Monroe Center, Nancy (David) Coyne of Byron and Kathy (Phil) Meseck of Belvidere; brother-in-law, Harold (Mary) Wingo of Rockford; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, father and mother-in-law and brother-in-law. nbsp; Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. Dr. William R. Kerr, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 1 in the funeral home from 5-7 p.m.. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
