Raymond W. Stittleburg

Raymond William Stittleburg, 78, of Rockford, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in his home after a lengthy illness. Born October, 31, 1931 in the township of Woodland, Wisconsin, he was the youngest son of George and Sarah Stittleburg. Raymond served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. He met and was united in marriage to Erika Lydia Wahl on May 7, 1955 in Fuerth, Germany.nbsp; Raymond worked as a tool maker for more than 40 years. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Erika; sons, Bernd (Jan) Stittleburg and Michael (Jill) Stittleburg of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Lori (Randy) Syring of Shorewood, Il; grandchildren, Jason Stittleburg, Christopher and Trevor Stittleburg, Alison and Nicholas Syring and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brothers Kenneth and George Jr. and sister, Loretta.

Funeral Mass Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11 th St. Rockford. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation in church from 9:30 until time of Mass.
