Reno John Guidi

Reno John Guidi 89 of Rockford passed away Wednesday October 29, 2014 in his home. He was born November 23, 1924 in Rockford, the son of John and Eliza Guidi. He married Mildred E. Chester on August 9, 1947 in St Mary Church. Reno worked for the Rockford Board of Education for 32 years, retiring in April of 1988. He served in WWII in the Army. Member of St. Patrick Church and his father was a founding member of the Verdi Club.
Survivors include his wife Mildred. Three Daughters, Jean (Russell) Murray, Gail and Robin (John) Malez. Two sons, Dan (Carol) Guidi and Mike (Debbie) Guidi. Twin sister, Rita Guidi. Grandchildren, Carolyn (Sam) McGuire, Tiffany Joiner, James (Pam) Guidi, David (Lisa) Guidi and Ronald Murray of Bloomington. Four great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Harry and Ronald.
Funeral Mass at 10am Monday November 3, 2014 in St Patrick Church. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 3pm until 5pm Sunday November 2, 2014 in Fitzgerald Funeral home 3910 N. Rockton Ave with rosary at 5pm. Express online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com
