Richard Andrew Brown

Richard Andrew Brown, 85 of Rockford, formerly of Carpentersville, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 24, 2009. Rich was born February 8, 1924 in Chicago, the son of Walter H. and Katherine (Schubler) Brown. He married Eileen E. Carey on June 10, 1950 in Chicago. Rich was a US Army Veteran of WWII and worked for Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas until retiring in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Eileen of Rockford, two sons, Rick (Marc) of St. Charles, Dan (Debbie) of St. Charles, one daughter Kathy (Chris) Landgraff of Rockford, eleven grandchildren Molly, Sandy, Katie, Betsy, Danny, Michael, Amber, Tina, Eric, Nicole, and Stephanie and five great-grandchildren Ava, Sophie, Lucy, Julia, and Oliver, one brother Ted (Jeannette) Brown of Downers Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Patty (Brown) Sipinski, one sister Becky and four brothers Bob, Ed, Jim, and Charlie. Memorial service to be determined.
