Richard B. Anderson,  79 Rockford Richard B. Anderson,  79,  died Tuesday,  December 23,  2008 at 10:53 a.m. at home.  Born April 24,  1929 inRockford to Eric B.  and Emma (Johnson)Anderson.  Lived his whole life inRockford.  Married Beverly Jane (Armellani) Anderson inRockford on June 3,  1950 who predeceased him on January 19,  2001.  Retired as Captain of Detectives of the Rockford Police Department after 22 years.  Served two terms with the Navy from 1946-1948 and then again during the Korean Conflict where he saw action off the coast of Korea.  Attended St.  Edwards Catholic Church for many years.  Member of the LLL club and Rockford Pigeon Club.  Survived by 2 sons;  Marco (Marla) Anderson of Loves Park,  Matt Anderson of Rockford;  Daughter-in-law Cathy Anderson ofRockford.  Grandchildren;  Becki (Daniel) Argyres,  Jason (Shannon) Anderson,  Mindy (Bao) Larn;  Great-Grandchildren Keziah Anderson,  Elias Argyres,  Jayden Anderson;  step-grandchildren Rachel Johnston and Heidi Loy;  step-great-grandchildren Shelby and Ethan Loy,  Taylor and Connor Johnston;  sister Mae Anderson of Rockford;  brothers Robert (Ruth ) Anderson of Rockford and James (Prudence) Anderson of Rockford.  Predeceased by wife, son Mitch, daughter Mariane and sister Shirley.
