Richard F. Dalfratello

Richard "Dick" DalFratello 70 of Rockford passed away Saturday November 24, 2012 in OSF St Anthony Medical Center. He was born June 28, 1942 in Rockford, the son of Dino and Ida DalFratello. Graduated from West High School He married Cindie Kline on October 5, 1963 in St Bernadette Church. Dick was an Independent insurance agent for 25 years; he was often the top agent and won many trips. He retired in 2009. Member of St Stanislaus Church and the Holy Name Society. Family always came first to Dick, he attended mass daily, loved to play charades, work in the house and garden. Avid Bears fan and played for the White Nights as a trumpet player in the 60s.Survivors include his wife Cindie. Two children, Dena (Larry) Medley of Rockford and Mitzi (Chuck) Gray of Rockford. Grandchildren, Beth (Matt) Sanders, Miranda Welch, Leandra Welch, Stephanie McIntyre, Haley Gray and Ashley Gray. Great grandchildren, Kailey and Kaleb Sanders and Cayden Ludwig. Mother Ida DalFratello of Rockford. Sister, Mary (John) Galvan of Naperville and Brother, Michael DalFratello of Rockford. Special Uncle, Mike Guzzo and Special Aunt Norma Dalfratello. Numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his Father, Father and Motherinlaw Fred and Laura Kline and Special Friend Charlie Marchese. The family would like to thank OSF St Anthony Medical Center 4 East, the Critical Care unit and Dr. Ted Ingrassia, Father Pierre Polycarpe and Richard GerdemanFuneral Mass at 10am Thursday November 29, 2012 in St Stanislaus Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday November 28 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 South Mulford Rd.
