Rigoberto "Rigo" Nunez

Rigoberto “Rigo” Nunez, 62, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 in his home.

Rigo was born in Durango, Mexico on September 15, 1957, son of Joaquin and Elvira (Maldonado) Nunez. He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church of Rockford. Rigo married Consuelo Pedroza on May 13, 1986 in Chicago. Rigo was a successful salesman early in his life which led him to create his own real estate business. He loved dancing, exercising and listening to music. Rigo also enjoyed his cars, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Rigo is survived by his wife, Consuelo Nunez; son, Ulises (Esmeralda) Nunez; granddaughter, Frida Nunez; step-mother, Magdalena Nunez; 7 brothers and 3 sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Joaquin Nunez.

Due to current circumstances of COVID-19, private family services will be held. Final resting place will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
