Robert "Butch" Gorman

Robert “Butch” Gorman, 75, Belvidere, died September 18, 2016, after a long illness.
Born November 23, 1940, in Belvidere to Milton and Lacey (Love) Gorman.

Bob had a fulfilling life. He traveled the country and lived in many places including, Seattle, Las Vegas, Chicago, where he earned his living driving a taxi and as a waiter at the Berghoff. Later he moved to Brooklyn, where he was a bus driver for the New York Transit Authority for many years.
Bob retired to Chicago where he enjoyed life in a condo on Lakeshore Drive. He enjoyed making friends that remained with him throughout his life. He built lasting memories with family and friends.

Survived by his niece, Kimberly (Scott) Olson and nephews Gary (Julie) Stone and Brad (Anna) Polnow;
great nieces and nephews, Chase Rudsinski, Katie Polnow, Kelsey Stone, Lacey Stone, Jamie Stone, Marshall Olson, Austin Polnow and Aja Olson; great-great niece, Anniston Rudsinski and brother-in-law, Art Polnow. Predeceased by his mother and father; sisters, Gerry, Betty and Barbara; nephews, Gale and Mickey Stone; many aunts and uncles; and lifelong partner, Dale Lea.

Memorial service 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 South Mulford Rd., Reverend Vicki Hadaway officiating.
