ROBERT FRANK 'BOB' SCHACHT SR., 77 ROCKFORD - Robert Frank "Bob" Schacht Sr., 77, of Rockford passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born Feb. 26, 1933, in Chicago, the son of Josef and Ida (Litke) Schacht. Bob married Roberta Hoyt on Jan. 10, 1953, in York Center. He worked for Borg Warner Corp. in Bellwood for many years. Bob was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean conflict. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Roberta; daughter, Leona Schacht; grandchildren, Jason (Erin) Buchstaber, Jonathan (Janie Valdez) Buchstaber, Roxane Buchstaber, Simi Woodby, Gaylene Urbanek, Valerie Urbanek and Nessi Emunah; great-grandchildren, Tyler Rose, Andrew James, William Robert and Julianna Marie Buchstaber, Simsha and Tseidle Woodby; and brother, Joseph (Carole) Schacht. Predeceased by parents; daughter, Diana Louise; and son, Robert Frank Jr. Graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, in Dundee Township Cemetery, Illinois 72 and Illinois 25 in East Dundee.
