Robert J. Mejia

Robert J. Rob Mejia, 48 of Loves Park, passed away suddenly Monday, April 28, 2008 in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Rob was born October 5, 1959 in St. Anthony Hospital the son of Joseph and Margaruete A. (Schenk) Mejia. He graduated from West High School Class of 1977. He was the owner of M amp; J Tax Service for 17 years. Rob was a wonderful, loving companion, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. His love of life and having fun will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Survivors include his beloved fianca(c), Christine Arpin son, Joseph Mejia of Loves Park;; brother, Michael Mejia; sisters, Linda Lidbom, Barbara Thomas and Marie Mejia; nephews, Derek (Elizabeth) Lidbom, Chad (Deb) Mejia, Ryan Mejia, Jason Thomas, Ben Mejia, Neil Mejia; nieces, Nicole (Sam) Dombrowski and Laura (Mike) Reicher. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law John Thomas and sister-in-law Patricia Mejia. Funeral services Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Interment in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation Friday, May 2, from 5-8 p.m. and continues Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.
