Robert Lee White Jr.

Robert (Bobby) Lee White Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 20, 1953 to Robert Lee White and Margaret Gertrude. He made his transition on June 29, 2019. At the age of 12 he accepted Christ into his life and was baptized at Second Avenue Baptist church. Bob graduated from Murray Wright High school in 1971 receiving his diploma. Bob attended Wayne State University for one semester, then Chrysler came calling. He was 19 years old when he got hired at Chrysler on 12-7- 1972. Bob met Kimberly Yvette Tatum in 1966 when she was 11 and he was 13. They became best friends forever. On July 21, 1973 he married Kimberly Yvette Tatum in Detroit, MI. and from this union 4 daughters were born. Bob raised his family in Detroit Michigan while working at the Lynch Road Plant until they closed and he was sent to the Chrysler Plant in Belvidere, Ill in 1981. Bob loved his family he was the eldest of 4 siblings, he loved swimming, bowling, going to the movies, drawing, watching TV and spending summers with the grandchildren. Bob retired in 2008 after working 35 years at Chrysler. After staying at home for about 3 months, he decided that he wanted to go back to college and he did for Pharmacy Technician. He received an Associate of Science Degree in 2011. He was diagnosed with Renal Failure Stage IV in 2013, lung cancer Stage IV in 2019. He fought a long hard battle and he kept fighting to stay here to take care of his family. Anyone who knew Bob knew that he was a cool quiet laided back kind of guy. He was loved by everyone and the epitome of a good husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, Uncle and friend.
