Roger M. Gustafson

Roger M. Gustafson, 77, of Rockford, passed away on June 22, 2021. He was born on March 26, 1944 in Rockford, IL, the son of Harry and Mae (Galocy) Gustafson.

Roger earned a BA from the University of Illinois and a MA from the University of Southern California. He was a big USC football fan. Roger was a Professor in the Art Department at Elgin Community College for 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, fishing, and pond and water gardening, raising Koi and growing Water Lili’s.

Roger is survived by his son, Roger H. (Lauren) Gustafson and grandchildren, Evan, Ben and Carter. Predeceased by his parents; son, Jeffrey Gustafson and brother, Robert Gustafson. Special thanks to the Swedish American Hospital Critical Care Unit.
