Ronald A. Ellison

Ronald A. Ellison, 86 of Rockford, died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Wesley Willows. Born September 15, 1925 in Rockford, the son of Gunnar and Selma (Sall) Ellison. Graduate of East High School and a veteran of the United States Navy serving in WWII and Korea. Married his loving wife Corinne Ann Mosher in Rockford on January 22, 1954. Worked for Fenner Fluid Power as a purchasing manager from 1969 until his retirement in March of 1989. Ronald was a wonderful husband, father and brother and will be missed dearly by all. Survivors include his daughters, Denise and Sandra Ellison; brother, Donald (Dorothy) Ellison; and a niece and several nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brother LeRoy; sister, Pauline Carlson and an infant sister, Janice. Memorial service Tuesday, August 21 at 12 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S Mulford Rd. with Pastor Janet Wold ,of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials in his name to the Wesley Willows Good Samaritan Fund, 4141 N. Rockton Ave. Rockford, IL 61103.
