Roseann L. Cimino

RoseAnn Cimino, 79, of Rockford passed away May 2, 2021 in her son, Patrick’s home surrounded by loved ones. She was born March 2, 1942 in Trieste, Italy the daughter of Giovanni and Albina Arpini. RoseAnn, her three sisters and her father traveled to America in 1953 in search of a better life for their family. Her mother made that same journey 5 years later. RoseAnn later married and had four children. She worked at Amerock for 25 years. She enjoyed dancing, spending time with her sisters and going to Bingo.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy (Brent) Doan; sons, Philip, Aldo, and Patrick (Robin) Cimino; sister, Mary (Bill) Fiorenza; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters, Alda Dufek and Antonia Swinney; her parents and her granddaughter, April Cimino.
Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111. Burial to follow Mass at Calvary catholic Cemetery. Mask and social distancing are required. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a cause to be determined.
