Rosemae Swanson

RoseMae A. Swanson, 93, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018. She was born November 16, 1924 in Rockford, to Albin and Lillian (Young) Carlson.
RoseMae graduated from Stillman Valley High School and went on to college to earn her Bachelors of Science degree.
She would later marry Dr. Armer Swanson her loving companion of 61 years.
Prior to her marriage, RoseMae was a teacher at Keith Country Day School. She was a former member of The Women’s Auxiliary of Swedish American Hospital, the Rockford Women’s Club, and of the Forest Hills Country Club.
She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed the game of golf.
RoseMae also attended Heartland Community Church for many years. Her happiest times were spent with her family and she will be truly missed.
Survivors include her husband, children, Pamela A. Curtis, Lisa A. Kuechenberg; grandchildren, Heather, Brandon, Michael, Anneliese, Matthew, Mark; and sister, Raelene Johnson.
She is predeceased by her parents, and Son-In-Law, David W. Curtis.
