Roy William Morris

Roy William Morris, 79, of Rockford, died at 4:25 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 in Provena St. Anne Center. He was born November 11, 1927 in Libertyville; the son of Charles and Magdalen (Swetor) Morris. He attended Waukegan, IL schools and received a Civil Engineering Degree from IIT and a Masters Degree from Bradley University; he was a registered engineer in both Illinois and New York. He was a member of Theta XI Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army in Japan. Married MaryAnn Holland Simons in Waukegan in 1952. His passion was bird watching and he loved traveling the United States, Central and South America with his birding friends. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; daughters, Pamela (Dennis) OConnell and Susan (Paul) Graf; grandchildren, Steven, Megan and Daniel. The family wishes to thank Dr. Shipp and the oncology staff at SwedishAmerican Hospital for their exceptional cancer care.
