Sandra J. Hultgren

Sandra J. Hultgren, 61, of Loves Park passed away June 1 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore after a valiant battle with cancer. Sandra was born March 8, 1946 in Chicago the daughter of Rudolph and Dorothy (Nelson) Hultgren. Sandra had worked as an English teacher at Jefferson High School in Rockford for 32 years until retiring in 2002.nbsp; She was a member of the Rockford Education Association and the Audubon Society.nbsp; Sandra was an avid reader, Cubs and Bears fan and loved walking, hiking, birding and playing golf.Sandra is survived by her sister, Bea (Kit) Sutorius; her brother, Donald Hultgren; her aunts, Helen (Norman) Blondell and Bea Dombrow; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and her best friend, Ginny Baxter and her close friend, Cathy Swanson.nbsp; Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial service will be held on Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Mulford Chapel, Rockford.nbsp; Memorial visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Audubon Society, Dept.
