Sarah Lorraine Keitch

Sarah Lorraine Keitch Sarah Lorraine Keitch, 88, of Rockford, was reunited with her loving husband William at 7:43 a.m. on October 7, 2009.  Lorraine was born October 5, 1921 in Ashton, IL, the daughter of Samuel A. and Mae L. (Ling) Smith.  Lorraine married William E. Keitch on August 31, 1940 in Clinton, Iowa. Lorraine resided in Ashton, IL for 14 years, in Beloit for 24 years, and then came to Rockford.  She worked as a bookkeeper for Rockford Dry Goods for 20 years until retiring in 1970. Lorraine enjoyed traveling, sewing, collecting angels, caring for her home and especially loved the neighborhood children.  Her most cherished moments were with her family. Lorraine is survived by her two sisters, Willa Hussey and Marian Breithaupt; nieces and nephews, Dorothy, Howard, JoAnn, Brenda and Jimmie, Loris, Ray, Carol, Wayne and Mary, Pat and David, and Charles, Suzanne, and Stephanie, and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.  Lorraine was predeceased by her parents; husband, William (Feb. 18, 1994 brother, Herbert Smith; two sisters, Verna Cook and Lucille Johnson, and nephew, William Hussey. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford with Rev. William T. Dahlberg officiating.  Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery in Beloit, WI.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, 1629 S.
