Sheryl L. Lundberg

Sheryl L. Lundberg, 54, of Belvidere, went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2008 in her home surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Sheryl was born September 9, 1953 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Barbara Hornbeck (Hildebrand).  She married Dwight W. Lundberg on September 22, 1973 in Rockford.   Sheryl graduated from Guilford High School in 1971 and was a library clerk for the Cherry Valley Library for ten years.  She loved cross stitch, reading, puzzles, ceramics, and crafts and especially cherished spending time with her family.   Sheryl is survived by her husband, Dwight W. Lundberg; her children, Matt (Judy) Lundberg and Marci Lundberg; her granddaughter, Haylee Lundberg; her sister, Pam (Larry) Hultgren; her brother, Scott (Tammy Barker) Custer; her nieces, Aleesha (Brandon) Pohl and Lindsay (Mark) Mallo; her grandmother, Fern Hildebrand and her close friends Al and Gayle Beilke.  Sheryl was predeceased by her mother, Barbara Hornbeck; her grandfather, Harold Hildebrand and her mother and father-in-law, Sonja and Wayne Lundberg.  Funeral services for Sheryl will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 10 am at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. Gregory L. Carlson, Pastor of Sonlight Community Church officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 from 6 8 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4312 E.
