Shirley A. Casey

Shirley A. Casey, of Winnebago, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022. She was born on December 17, 1943, in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of Les and Virginia (Smith) Davis. She married Roger Casey in 1963. She worked various receptionist jobs in the Rockford area. Shirley enjoyed sitting outside, going on cruises with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She lived a quiet and simple life.

She is survived by her children, Kim (Frank) Bachman of Winnebago, Michael (Kellie) Casey of Winnebago, and Cari (Terry) Gettle of Crestview, Florida; grandchildren, Kori Bachman, Stephen (Mackenzie) Casey, Amanda Casey, Hadyn (Dason Jordan) Gettle, Ryley Gettle, and Troy Gettle; sister, Debbie (David) Babbitt; and nephews, Tim (Tori) Babbitt and Andrew (Kim) Babbitt. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and grandsons, Aaron and DJ Bachman.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 11:30 am, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Rockford, Illinois 61103. A public visitation will take place before the service, starting at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
