Shirley Cero

Shirley Ann Cero of Tustin, CA passed away Wednesday November 21, 2012 in California after complications from a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born August 31, 1949 in Rockford, the daughter of Jasper and Josephine (Spataro) Cero.Graduated from Guilford High School and held various jobs until she moved to California where she worked as Information service manager for American Association of Critical Nurses of Laguna Beach, CA, where she worked until her retirement.She was a special daughter. Sister, Aunt and friend too many.Fought a courageous battle with determination, spirit and dignity.She will be sorely missed.She is survived by her mother Josephine, brother Charles (Avery) Cero of Portland, OR; Mark Cero of St Louis, MO, nephews, Greg, Michael, Jeffery and niece Elizabeth Cero of Portland, OR; nephews Joe and Pete Cero of St Louis, MO.Numerous loving cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends in Rockford and California.Last but not least her dog Molly.Predeceased by her father and Daughter Michelle Long.A very special thanks to her devoted caretaker, Elsa and good friends, Sondra, Jill, Paulina and her extended MS Family.A memorial mass at 10am, Saturday December 15, 2012 in St Anthony Church with the Franciscan Friars officiating.Visitation from 9am until time of service Saturday in the church.In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
