Sister Ann Frances Biesel, 89

Rockford-Sister Ann Frances Biesel, 89 of Rockford died March 17 at Poor Clares Monastery after a long illness. Born December 19, 1921 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of Harry and Harriet Biesel. Served in the Army as a WAC during World War II. Entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Francis of Assisi in 1947 and taught school for thirty years. In 1982 she transferred to the Poor Clare Order.

Survivors include her nieces, Susan Von Frausihg-Borch and Patti Reynolds, and nephew Mark (Suzanne) Mironischen; and the Sisters of Poor Clares Monastery. Predeceased by her parents, sister, Ann and nephew, Paul.

Funeral Mass at 8:00 a.m. Monday, March 21 in Poor Clares Monastery Chapel with Bishop Thomas G. Doran officiating. Burial in Poor Clares Cemetery.
