Sister Mary Regina Dice

Sister Mary Regina Dice, 86, a Poor Clare cloistered nun, died Monday, November 29, 2021 at Corpus Christi Monastery, Rockford, Illinois, after a long illness. She was born December 28, 1934 in Hillman, Michigan, daughter of William and Florence Dice.
Sister Regina entered the monastery August 20, 1955. At the end, her last words summed up her life as no one else could, “I love being a Poor Clare. I always loved my vocation.” She served our Community in many ways over the past 66 years as Sacristan, Novice Mistress, Vicaress, and Abbess, etc. etc.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the monastery parlor, 2111 South Main Street. The wake service will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the monastery chapel. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop David Malloy officiating.
