Stella M. Stutsman

Stella M. Stutsman, 91, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, April 3 surrounded by her family. She was born November 13, 1930 in Stambaugh, MI the daughter to Mary (Pavlick) and Michael Stasaski. Stella was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Stella attended Stambaugh High School graduating in 1948. She married William Stutsman in 1978. She worked many years at Ideal Uniform until her retirement. She then became the permanent caregiver to her daughter-in-law, Mary Klotz. Stella was a selfless woman who always put others first. Stella enjoyed traveling to Iron River, MI and Milwaukee, WI to see her sisters. She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Stella also enjoyed the casinos, BINGO and meals at Alpine View. Most of all, Stella loved the time she spent with her family.

Stella is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Vern) Larson and Sue (Glen) Muench; grandchildren, Andrew (Natasha) Gruner, Michelle (Hamza) El Bouhati-Gruner, Christine Klotz-Busse, David (Amber) Klotz, Ryan (Alison) Larson, numerous great grandkids, nephews, nieces and cousins; brother-in-law, Jim Palmeri; son-in-law, Mark (Supasri) Gruner; special friends, Darlene and Doug Trefftzs. Predeceased by her parents; husband, William; former husband, Peter Klotz; son, Michael Klotz; daughter, Diane; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rock River Health Care and ProMedica Hospice.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 11 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th St. Rockford, IL 61109. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a cause to be determined.
