Stephen K. Vineyard

Stephen K. Vineyard, 47, of Rockford, died on November 16, 2007 in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Stephen was born December 10, 1959 in Chicago, the son of Carson Vineyard and Shirley (Luck) Pleitt. He moved from Chicago to Rockford in April, 1973. Stephen married Holly M. McCaskey on September 23, 1989 in Iowa. Stephen had worked as a digital cartographer for Blue Highways Company, a computerized map manufacturer and assisted with the design of the global tracking system known as GPS. He was a member of Pine Grove Free Methodist Church and a member on the board for C.A.P. in Rockford. Stephen loved working on cars, radios, antiques, gardening, computers as well as woodworking. Stephen is survived by his wife, Holly; his father Carson (Beverly) Vineyard; his mother, Shirley (Robert) Pleitt; his children, Andrew (Sarah Trank) Vineyard, Jennifer (Edward) Barnas and Vesna Vineyard; his granddaughter, Madeline Barnas; his brothers, Mike, Richard, Robert, Jr., and Tyrock; his sisters, Susie, Twila, Nana and Anna; his mother-in-law, Janet (Virgil) Hyde; his father-in-law, Edward (Stella) McCaskey; his aunt Trudy (John) Kroll; his aunt-in-law, Lois Luck and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Stephen was preceded in death by his uncle Marion Luck. Funeral services at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Pine Grove Free Methodist Church, 5850 E. Riverside Blvd. in Loves Park with Pastor Paul Joseph Bundschuh officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Garden of Memories Cemetery in Belvidere. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19th from 6 pm 8 pm at Pine Grove Free Methodist Church and at the church on Tuesday from 12:30 pm until time of service. Family and friends may
