Stephen Schoening

Stephen Schoening, 64 ofCaledonia died Friday, August 8, 2008.  Born September 21, 1943, inRockford, IL. The son of Franz and Violet (Moser) Schoening.  He was an engineer in charge of research and development in the testing labs at Sears for 21 years.  He graduated from St. Thomas High School inRockford.  He received a Bachelors degree from Loras College and went on to receive a Masters degree from theUniversity of Illinois .  He also was the president of the British Boots and Bonnets Car Club.  He enjoyed early retirement with family inEagle River Wisconsin.  He is survived by wife Mary Jo; children Jodi (Sal) Nunziata Theresa (Gary) Landwirth,  Kate (Chris) McDonough; his mother Violet Schoening;  Brothers Franz (Gail) Schoening, Jr., Fredrick (Pat) Schoening, Joseph (Kathy)Schoening; sisters, Maryanne (Rudy) Skul, Joanne (Jim) Hallisy; grandchildren, Stephanie, Matthew, Madison, Sian.  Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday,  August 13,  2008 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel)  1860 South Mulford Road ,  Rockford,  Il  61108 .Visitation will be at 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers please make memorials to The Markley Foundation.  Friends and Family  may
