Steven J. Benson

Steven J. Benson, 62, of Rockford, IL passed away on January 20, 2022. He was born on December 10, 1959 in Rockford, IL, the son of Lloyd and Loretta (White) Benson.

Steven was a musician and music lover. He played bass guitar for Messenger and Blackjack & the Ritz. Steven also played the keyboard, was learning to play drums and mixed tracks on equipment in his home studio. His favorite bands were Rush, The Beatles and Tool.

Steven is survived by his daughters, Ashley Benson and Bailey Benson; granddaughter, Leia; sister, Nancy Benson; special cousin Becky and special best friends, Phil Scandroli and Paul Cicero. Preceded in death by his parents
