Steven P. Craig

Steven P. Craig, 44, Rockford died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Rockford Memorial Hospital.  Born March 1, 1964 in Rockford, son of Don and Jill Conley Craig.  Graduated from West High School in 1982 and married Ann L. Connell on June 19, 1982.  He spent 27 years with his many friends as a proud employee of Pierce Laminated Products. Steve was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and always enjoyed grilling out and Sports Talk Radio.  He loved his family above all else.    Survivors include his wife, Ann; sons Andrew and Daniel; daughter, Kathryn; parents, Don and Jill Craig, all of Rockford; brother, Terry (Carrie) Craig; sister, Kristie (Chris) Bellone and 12 nieces and nephews.  Also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Terry and Pat Connell; sister-in-law, Colleen Gifford; brother-in-law, Joe (Dana) Connell; his dog, Sophie and his special friend Tim Sather.  Predeceased by his brother-in-law, Brian Gifford.   Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Rev. Dr. William R. Kerr, Sr. officiating.  Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation from 2-4p.m. Sunday and from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
