Steven R. Alban, Jr.

August 5, 1950 — October 4, 2022

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, uncle, and great uncle, Steven Richard Alban, Jr. Steven passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 4th, 2022.

Born in Rockford, Il. to Sarah Ann Paris and Steven Richard Alban, Sr. on August 5th, 1950. Steven is predeceased by his parents Sarah Ann Paris (Parisi) of Rockford, Il. and Steven Richard Alban, Sr. (Albanese) of Bridgeport, Ct. After losing his father at the young age of 22, Steven became the rock of his family. He took over taking care of Sarah, his precious mother, and later stepped in as support for his nieces. With his smiling blue eyes, he helped keep his family not only together but strong. Steven gave unconditional love, loyalty, and compassion to his family. His family meant everything to him, especially his nieces, whom he always called sweetie and they could count on him for anything, anytime.

Steven received a BA degree in Design from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. The second he picked up a pencil as a toddler, he was drawing home designs. Being a superb Architectural Interior Designer, Steven won national awards for his work is throughout the country. Steven’s first job was with the Childs Dreyfus Group whose offices were in the penthouse of the playboy building in Chicago, Il. Steven fell in love with the art, music, and energy of Chicago. He continued his career developing his own business as S.R.ALBAN. He worked with good friend, Mary Cook, as a Senior Interior Architect for 45 years. The last ten years the majority of his designs have been with high-end homes in South Florida.

Everything about Steven flowed with creativity. From his love of music and design to fashion and cooking. He loved his Italian heritage and dressed to the nines. Steven participated in an international design conference in Milan, Italy and from there he went on to Sicily and spent a week with his Parisi relatives. Steven was an accomplished musician with the bass, piano, and guitar. One well-known drummer commented that he was the best bassist that he had ever played with. Steven also was a visual artist with a focus on graffiti art. The family plans to have an exhibit of his art in the future. He was also an excellent cook and loved trying out new recipes. He loved cooking, dining out, and trying different cuisines. Steven frequently treated his family and friends to different dining experiences at home or out.

Our loved one, Steven, was the life of the party and a jokester. His many stories amused us all. We will miss his daily sharing of TikTok videos of silly cats and dogs.

We are forever grateful that he lived life his way. Steven was from a loving and large family. He will be dearly missed by his sisters Susan Francine Alban Sunday, Camilla June Alban, nieces Angelica Jade Alban Davila (Sergio) and Allegra Amber Alban Sunday, and great nieces Serafina Rose Davila and Mirabel Jade Davila, numerous loving cousins and special friends, and his precious kitties Bonz, Mina, and Kiddie.
