Susan Curtiss

Susan Curtiss, 79, of Caledonia died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Friday, Dec. 25, 2015. Born July 20, 1936 in Winnetka, the daughter of Edwin and Evelyn (Schmidt) McCready. Graduated from New Trier East High School and married her loving husband, Isaac Henry Curtiss. Susan was very active in the progression of CPR, being the first female instructor in the area to teach to the local fire departments. She was an avid CASA representative and music lover. Her wonderful wit always kept those around her with a smile on their face. Her compassion for people and every living creature was a beautiful legacy passed down to her kids and their kids and touched all who knew her. She is survived by her children, John (Sue) Curtiss, Isaac Curtis III and Karen (Robert) Kujawski, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and sister, Barbara. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry in 2013 and 2 granddaughters.
